Shannon O'Shea is an MFA student at Chapman University. She is studying film production with an emphasis in editing, though she has also studied directing, screenwriting, and sound design during her time at Chapman.
Shannon received her Bachelor's degree from Cornell University, majoring in Performing and Media Arts with minors in Creative Writing and Arabic. She wrote, directed, and edited a variety of short films at Cornell, including her thesis film "Burn," for which she received honors of magna cum laude. Shannon was also actively involved in Delta Kappa Alpha Cinematic Society during her time at Cornell, serving as President in the 2021-2022 year. Now, at Chapman, she has discovered that post-production is her true passion and has immersed herself in many projects of varying genres both in and out of school. She is proficient in a variety of software, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Davinci Resolve, and Pro Tools. She has also gained experience in development and production through her time interning for Bona Fide Productions and writer/director Stewart Thorndike, as well as her time working as a background actor on professional film and television sets. |
